Born and raised in the mountains of Pennsylvania, I found my earliest inspirations in the forests and spring creeks of my childhood home. After college I found my way to the sun-drenched paradise of Key West, Florida. When I'm not creating magical worlds filled with adventure and romance, you can find me fly fishing in the crystal waters of the Keys. My debut novel, The Light Breaker, emerged from a rediscovered passion for writing that had lain dormant until loss stirred something profound within me, reminding me that life is short and reconnecting me with the joy of creation I'd known in my youth.
The journey of my protagonist mirrors my own in many ways – she doesn't begin as a formidable force but discovers her strength through confronting adversity. My experiences with addiction, anxiety, and the fundamental human struggles of connection and belonging have deeply informed my writing, as I believe the most compelling fantasy is grounded in emotional truths. I'm fascinated by the alchemy that transforms vulnerability into power and isolation into community.
